Massage Therapy
Joy has been licensed and certified in massage therapy since 1998 (New York State and National Certification passed in 1998) after graduating from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York. Her clientele has included professional athletes, dancers and musicians and she has practiced massage in some of America's top spas and internationally renowned health clubs.
Combining a variety of methods for a customized individual massage Joy is trained in over 20 massage techniques and gives gentle, non-invasive bodywork including therapeutic connective tissue and deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, hot stone massage, energetic healing and Reiki. Joy also teaches and enjoys sharing helpful tips and tricks (i.e., stretches, herbal and energetic supplements, etc) to help you maintain the benefits of your massage long after your appointment.
